Students in grades 2 - 8 are entering into a busy time of the school year as many provincial assessments are about to take place. It is very important that during assessment time students eat right, get plenty of sleep at night and have good attendance.
The 2nd annual Tabusintac Variety and Art Auction will take place this Wednesday, May 2nd at 7:00pm. All students have a part in the show and should be here by 6:45. Admission is $5.00 for adults and free for school age children. A silent auction of students artwork will take place in the cafeteria and there will be a canteen during intermission. Hope to see everyone at the show!!!
May book orders are due to Miss MacDonald by Wednesday, May 2nd. This is the second last book order of the year so be sure to take a look at all the great books that are being offered. As always, please make all cheques payable to Scholastic.
The Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to
accept film entries for the second annual Kin Film Festival. All School
District 16 students are invited to participate. Films can be submitted
in one of two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category (The Communities Greatest Need). The top 10
films in each category will be screened on May 12th, 2012 at Miramichi
Empire Studio 5. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for
the winners in each category.
Report Cards will be going home with students today. Please sign the back of the report card envelope and return it to school. Parent Teacher Interviews will be held Thursday from 4:30-6:30 and Friday from 9:00-11:30. If you are unable to attend during these times, please contact your child's homeroom teacher at 779-4120 to set up an appointment. There is no school for students on Friday, March 23rd.
