Tabusintac Rural School will be acknowledging National Bullying Awareness Week with a "White-Out Campaign" on Thursday, November 18th. Students and staff are asked to wear white t-shirts on this day to show our support for anti-bullying.
Math Tutorials with Mr. Forrest will be held on Wednesdays from 2:45 - 3:30 beginning November 10th. Students are asked to inform Mr. Forrest on Tuesdays if they plan on attending the tutorial. Any students who attend the tutorials must have a pre-arranged drive home no later than 3:30. If you have any questions regarding the Math Tutorials, please feel free to contact Mr. Forrest.
Please note that there has been a change in due date for School Picture orders. We are now asking that all orders be returned by this Friday, November 12th. This is to ensure that you get your pictures back before Christmas.
Also, for any students who missed picture day, or for those who would like to have retakes done, this will take place on Wednesday, November 17th.
School picture proofs have arrived and will be going home with students. If you are interested in ordering your child's picture, please complete the order form and return it to your child's teacher by Monday, November 15th. If you are not satified with your child's proofs, or they missed picture day, retakes will take place on Wednesday, November 17th. Please remember to return your child's proof package on the day of picture retakes.
Report Cards will go home with students tomorrow November 2nd. Please note that parent-teacher interviews will be held Thursday, November 4th from 5:00-7:00pm and on Friday, November 5th from 9:00-11:00am. If you are unable to make the above times and would still like to meet with your child's teacher please feel free to contact the school to set up an appointment.
Congratulations to all students who took part in the pumpkin decorating contest for the Tabusintac Nursing Home. A lot of hard work and creativity went into decorating the pumpkins. The winners are:
1st Place: Brianna MacEachern (Gr. 2)
2nd Place: Sarah Schaefer (Gr. 5)
3rd Place: Paige Comeau (Gr. 2)
Students are asked to not wear their costumes to school on Friday, October 29th. Instead we ask that they bring them with them and they may put them on after lunch and wear them for the afternoon. Students are not permitted to wear masks or bring accessories for their costumes, for examples: swords, daggers, etc. Halloween activities will take place during the last class of the day. Remember if you are bringing treats to share, that they must be nut free.
The Tabusintac Home & School will be hosting a Youth Halloween Dance.
When: Friday, October 29th
Where: Tabusintac Legion
Time: 6:00-8:00pm (open to all ages) and 8:00-10:30 (Grades 6 and up).
Cost is $5/person.
There will be a canteen and students will take part in activites such as: cupcake decorating, crafts, witch's stew, freeze dance, skeleton scavenger hunt, and pumpkin roll. Students are encouraged to wear costumes! Contact Tanya Comeau if you have any questions.
